Calvin Jordan
Graduate Student Fellow
Calvin Jordan (he/him) is a Master of Public Policy student at the University of California, Berkeley's Goldman School of Public Policy, where he focuses on public policy problems related to housing, transportation, criminal justice and public safety. In addition to his role as a student, Calvin also serves as a Resident Board Member for the City of Emeryville's Transportation Management Association, where he advises the city council on matters relating to its free shuttle service (the Emery-Go-Round) and provides strategic counsel to the independent nonprofit authority managing the program.
Prior to attending GSPP, Calvin spent eight years as a communications professional working mostly in nonprofit research and advocacy, including at Fair and Just Prosecution (a criminal justice reform advocacy organization) and Pew Research Center (a nonpartisan public opinion think tank). He is highly skilled at writing and editing, media relations, project management, strategic planning and community building. Calvin is a dual graduate of Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL with a master of science in communication & media studies and a bachelor of arts in public relations & advertising.
